1. Functions of A&LS Back Office

The main functions are to:

(i) Compile and maintain a record of arrestees during an action

(ii) Arrange for supporters at police stations to which arrestees have been taken

(iii) Respond to phone calls to Back Office, mainly from: people reporting arrests; arrestees (custody calls); friends and family members of arrestees; people reporting on incidents such as police misbehaviour; rebels with legal questions
