Making Forms with Cryptpad
This document shows you how to make a customised form to collect data, using our secure, hosted version of Cryptpad.
How do I access Cryptpad?
https://cryptpad.organise.earth/
Do I need to log in?
Yes you must create an account to use it collaboratively (though you can test it as a Guest user). You can't login via the XR Hub so you will need to set up your own login.
What is Cryptpad?
CryptPad is for collaborative editing (a bit like a secure, safe version of Google docs).
It synchronizes changes to documents in real time. Because all data is encrypted, the service and its administrators have no way of seeing the content being edited and stored.
Why should I use Cryptpad?
Because it is safe and secure.
What can I do with it?
You can create documents (like Word) or Sheets (like Excel) but also Forms.
Introduction to Forms on Cryptpad
Say you want to create a survey for your LG to find out what action people wish to participate in. You should log in to Cryptpad and then click on Form, which will bring up the following screen: You can name your form on the top left, then click 'EDIT' in the Description box at the top to write your description, write a question - use the 'Choice' selector for different sorts of response, and add more options at the bottom.
After you have finished it may look something like this: Click 'Preview Form' (near top LHS) to see how it will appear:
