Zoom Sessions - FP Community Meetings, Hosted Training Sessions and How to Register

This section describes the various Zoom Sessions,sessions, how to register for them and what to do if you cannot attend.

FP Community Meetings
During your course, there are several opportunities to get together with the FP team and your fellow students. These TeamFP Community Meetings are a great way to share information about how you are getting on, ask questions and find support:support.

  • The MeetIntroduction &to Greetthe EveningFoundation Programme is a warm welcome and a time to get all your initial questions answered. It is attended by members of the Foundation Programme Teamteam and often some of your Trainers.trainers. We explain how to access and use the Course Schedule & Checklist for anyone who is not familiar with technology,form and the Trainerstrainers outline their sessions.

  • The twoMidpoint Mid Point Check-ins (one daytime and one evening on separate dates)Checkins are very informal opportunities to chat with your fellow students, discuss how you are progressing with the Coursecourse and completeanonymously simplegive questionnairesthe FP team any feedback you wish to share so we can continually assess the effectiveness and accessibility of the Foundation Programme. The forms are done online, on the spot, and will be kept anonymous - only you can identify any comments as yours.

  • The Next Steps Evening,Celebration, apart from celebrating your successachievements in working through the course, is where you havecan meet other students also finishing the chanceprogramme, talk about what to do next, and maybe hear from someteams XRUK team representatives about roles theywho are keen to fill using our students.

Registering for TeamFP Community Meetings and StudyHosted SessionsTrainings

Students are asked to register in advance for all live Zoom Sessions:sessions:

Please note that some registration pages offer more than one date for a Session, e.g. Introduction to Meetings might list two or three dates,session, so do make sure you register for the correct one,one orand check it mightdoesn't clash with another of your Sessions.sessions.

  • Once registered, you will receive an email with the link to click to join the Session.Zoom session. These do get lost amongst other emails, and the headers are not always helpful, so we suggest you forward them to yourself with a really clear headingheading, eg 4TH JULY JOIN WELCOME TO XR.

If you register for any Sessionsession but then cannot attend

  • Please de-registercancel the registration so trainers have a fair idea of attendee numbers. You can do this using the cancelation link in your registration confirmation email.
